Ermenegildo Zegna is one of our favorite brands here at Harleys in Shorewood. From ties to suits, the Italian fashion house makes the best menswear in the business. They are global phenomenon but everything they make is exquisitely crafted, with skill and attention to detail, just like when the company first began in 1910 in the tiny town of Trivero, Italy.
The quality of Ermenegildo Zegna speaks for itself. Their wool suits and sport coats are fully canvassed and made from the finest wool available, and they look beautiful and modern. Their ties are impeccably stitched and drape handsomely. Every Ermenegildo Zegna piece is made of high-quality, high-performance material, and they all have a sharp, classic, and sophisticated aesthetic.

Over the past five or so years, American men, including those in Shorewood and Milwaukee, have slowly been embracing a closer-fitting suit, much like the Italians have been doing since…well, forever, I suppose.
Luigi Bianchi Mantova, an Italian menswear line, has had a hand in this, or has at least capitalized on it. See Andrea Benedini, export manager of Luigi Bianchi Mantova, make an impassioned case against ill-fitting (read: extra large) suits to Esquire’s Nick Sullivan.
Strong Suit is a collection of men’s suits and sport coats tailor-made for the modern young gun.
They are slim-fitting, exhibit quality construction, and most importantly, they are affordable. "Men in their twenties and thirties want high-quality, polished suits, but can't always afford the higher-end ones, which is why Strong Suit is really a pioneer in making suits of exceptional quality at an affordable price," said Tim Ryan, president and CEO of Harleys. Strong Suits have a canvas front within the chest that forms to the wearer’s figure over time, a feature rarely found in suits that cost less than $1,000, Ryan explains.
One of our most beloved brands, by both staff and customers, at Harleys is Ermenegildo Zegna. We have blogged about the Italian luxury fashion more times than is probably healthy, but we’ve done it for good reason. Ermenegildo Zegna (pronounced “air-men-ah-ghill-doe-zen-ya,” in case you were wondering), is one of the 800-pound gorillas of the luxury fashion world, producing everything from exceptional suits and ties to fragrances.
The short answer is: yes, you can.
Nowadays it is common for many grooms, in and outside of Wisconsin, to opt for a suit rather than a tuxedo for their big day. A lot of men simply feel more comfortable in a suit. Others say they want something they can get use of after the wedding.
The idea of wearing the suit you got married in to the office is well…kinda wince inducing…but subbing a suit for a tux on your wedding day is completely acceptable. You just need to know how to do it.
When it comes to tuxedos and mens suits in Southern Wisconsin, you’ll find many traditional looks and styles. But when it comes to day to day men’s fashion, new trends are constantly popping up and it can be difficult to keep up. And even more difficult to continue investing in your wardrobe all the time. Luckily, when you wear the timeless pieces of Ermenegildo Zegna, you don’t have to.
It’s a dilemma that many men run into at some point in their lives. You have an event to attend that’s going to have a formal tone to it, but it won’t be a super formal event that calls for a wedding tuxedo Southern Wisconsin, or tails. So, what are you to wear?
