One of our most beloved brands, by both staff and customers, at Harleys is Ermenegildo Zegna. We have blogged about the Italian luxury fashion more times than is probably healthy, but we’ve done it for good reason. Ermenegildo Zegna (pronounced “air-men-ah-ghill-doe-zen-ya,” in case you were wondering), is one of the 800-pound gorillas of the luxury fashion world, producing everything from exceptional suits and ties to fragrances.
Ermenegildo Zegna was founded in 1910 in Trivero, a tiny town in northern Italy, and made wool textiles. Since then, they have grown to make apparel for their own lines as well as Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent, and Tom Ford.
There isn’t a “boss” in “fashion,” but if there was, they would put the “boss” in it.
And yet, despite Ermenegildo Zegna’s size, they still make suits and ties of a quality that is unrivaled. Their wool suits and sport coats are fully canvassed and made from the finest wool available (Italians know a thing or two about wool, you know). In fact, the company is deeply involved in improving wool production around the world.
