Back in the 80s and 90s, fashion denim for men included styles and cuts in just about every color you could imagine. While the 80s saw bright golds, and sometimes even silver, the 90s saw vibrant reds and yellow among denim wear. But for the past decade or so, we’ve been more reserved in all luxury mens clothing, including denim. And when it came to the jeans we wore, the only real tones we played with were different shades of blue – or the most daring, black.

So, are colors still out? Or are they back in when it comes to men’s fashion and more specifically, their denim?

If you’re thinking about the fashion of those generations past, yes, they are still out. Gone are the days of fire-engine red pants; and yellow jeans that could light the way. But, in their place are a whole range of colors that a man can incorporate into his wardrobe, and not only pull off that sophisticated designer look – but take it to a whole new level!

The world of denim for men has come to include names like Agave, and AG Denim for men. It’s also broadened to include deep rich tones such as olives, tans, and chocolates. These are often incorporated into different textures too, such as corduroy and twill.

While the colors of today’s modern menswear might not reflect the color of years past, there is a whole range of colors available in denim, and other designer too. And, many of them are perfect for fall so when you’re looking to expand your wardrobe with a splash of color, come see us at Harleys!
