When it’s time to get your custom clothing altered or repaired, you may be tempted to take the item to the same tailor you always take your clothing to. However, if that tailor is one that is mainly experienced working with minor work such as hems, zippers, and other work that can be done in under an hour, you might want to think again. While these tailors, who have shops just about everywhere, can be convenient for your everyday clothes, it’s something entirely different when you’re talking about your customized made to measure clothing.

So how do you find the right tailor?

First look around at your local shops that offer quality, high-end designer menswear. They’re likely to have tailors on staff that are highly experienced in working with the delicate materials that designer wear can often be comprised of. These tailors will also be able to take the time to sit down with you and find out what you really want out of your alteration.

Also always ask any tailor that you’re considering to work on your custom made clothing if they have referrals they can give you. Any tailor that is proud of their work and that has happy customers will be more than willing to give these to you; or at least pass your number on to past or current clients so they can call you.

When you really need to find the right tailor for your custom made clothing, come see us at Harleys. We have the experience needed to know how to perfectly tailor every article of clothing and, we have a whole selection of new items in stock for you, too!
